This generous Burt's Bees package contains some favorites that you'll want to buy again and again, but sadly, the whole package isn't nearly as nice as the sum of its parts. By now, if you haven't tried (and love) Burt's Bees famous lip balm, I'd wonder where you've been hiding for the past few years. A tube of it is in the tote, as well as canister of Burt's equally famous hand salve. There is even a very generously sized bottle of lotion, enough to last well after the rest of the tote's contents are gone. However, Burt's Coconut Foot Salve has made an appearance here, causing sensitive noses to want to run for cover. It may work, but I've never been able to stand the smell long enough to try it. Another failure is the so called "exfoliating" soap, which does little but clog pores and make for a messy tub. If I were to get another tote, I'd toss the soap, give the smelly foot cream away to someone who doesn't mind its overpowering coconut odor and keep the rest for myself. This is one package where the total is less than the sum of its parts.
